1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, improve user experience, and provide information to website owners. Similar technologies (such as local storage) may be used for the same purposes.

2. How CloakScan Uses Cookies

This public landing site (cloakscan.com) is a static site and does not use analytics, marketing, or tracking cookies. The only cookies you may encounter are those set by third-party services embedded in specific pages.

The CloakScan application (studio.cloakscan.com) uses cookies that are strictly necessary for authentication and session management. These cookies allow you to stay logged in and use the platform. They are set by Supabase, our authentication provider, and cannot be disabled without losing access to your account.

3. Cookie Types We Use

Cookie Provider Purpose Type Duration
sb-* Supabase Authentication session Strictly necessary Session / 7 days
__stripe_* Stripe Payment fraud prevention Strictly necessary 1 year

We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or social media cookies. If this changes, this policy will be updated and appropriate consent mechanisms will be put in place.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Stripe may set cookies when you visit the checkout or billing portal. These cookies are used to prevent fraudulent transactions and are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

5. Managing Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies (authentication cookies) will prevent the CloakScan app from functioning. Here are links to cookie settings for major browsers:

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as the Service evolves. If we introduce non-essential cookies (such as analytics), we will add a consent banner before setting them. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
