Cookie Policy
Last updated: 17 April 2026
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, improve user experience, and provide information to website owners. Similar technologies (such as local storage) may be used for the same purposes.
2. How CloakScan Uses Cookies
This public landing site (cloakscan.com) uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure aggregate page views and navigation trends. This analytics layer is privacy-friendly and does not rely on advertising cookies. The only other cookies you may encounter are those set by third-party services embedded in specific pages.
The CloakScan application (studio.cloakscan.com) uses cookies that are strictly necessary for authentication and session management. These cookies allow you to stay logged in and use the platform. They are set by Supabase, our authentication provider, and cannot be disabled without losing access to your account.
3. Cookie Types We Use
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| sb-* | Supabase | Authentication session | Strictly necessary | Session / 7 days |
| __stripe_* | Stripe | Payment fraud prevention | Strictly necessary | 1 year |
We do not currently use advertising or social media cookies. We do use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated traffic measurement on the public site. If we introduce additional non-essential cookies, this policy will be updated and appropriate consent mechanisms will be put in place.
4. Third-Party Cookies
Vercel Web Analytics may process page view metadata for aggregated analytics on the public site. For more information, see Vercel Analytics documentation.
Stripe may set cookies when you visit the checkout or billing portal. These cookies are used to prevent fraudulent transactions and are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
5. Managing Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies (authentication cookies) will prevent the CloakScan app from functioning. Here are links to cookie settings for major browsers:
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the Service evolves. If we introduce additional non-essential cookies, we will add a consent banner before setting them where required. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
