1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CloakScan ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Denis Franchi.

2. Description of Service

CloakScan is a web-based site integrity monitoring tool that performs automated external scans of websites provided by users. It checks for cloaking, SSL issues, security headers, SEO changes, and other integrity signals. The Service operates without installing any plugin or agent on monitored websites.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep it up to date.

4. Acceptable Use

You may only monitor websites for which you have explicit authorization — either as the owner or as an appointed manager (e.g. a web agency managing client sites). You must not use the Service to:

• Scan websites without authorization from the website owner
• Conduct denial-of-service attacks or abuse automated scanning
• Circumvent security measures or collect unauthorized data
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

5. Subscription and Billing

The Service is offered on a subscription basis. Plans are billed monthly or annually as selected. All subscriptions include a 15-day free trial on the chosen plan. After the trial period, your selected payment method will be charged automatically unless cancelled. Prices are in EUR and exclusive of applicable taxes.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued for unused time.

6. Service Availability

We strive for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, infrastructure issues, or force majeure events may cause temporary unavailability. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service interruptions.

7. Limitation of Liability

CloakScan provides detection signals and integrity scores as informational tools. We do not guarantee that all cloaking attacks or security issues will be detected. The Service does not constitute legal, security, or SEO advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any damages arising from use of the Service is limited to the amount paid by you in the three months preceding the claim.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, software, and branding within the Service are the exclusive property of CloakScan. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the Service without prior written consent.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ferrara.

11. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users.
